WhatsApp has officially rolled out the fingerprint unlock feature for all the Android users. Usually, we have to install a third-party app to put a lock on apps like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Now Whatsapp users don’t have to worry about their app security, you can set a security fingerprint for WhatsApp in the app itself. Keeping that in mind WhatsApp inc has now enrolled this new feature so that you can just open the app by a fingerprint. Introducing Fingerprint Lock for Android
Earlier this year, Whatsapp has rolled out Touch ID and Face ID for iPhone to provide an extra layer of security for WhatsApp users.

Now they introduced similar authentication, allowing users to unlock the app with their fingerprint, on supported Android devices.

How To Enable Whatsapp Fingerprint lock on Android
In its recent blog post, WhatsApp has announced that the fingerprint lock authentication for all Android users.
This new feature will allow users to secure their WhatsApp app with their fingerprint every time someone opens the app on the phone.
To enable it, tap Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock. Turn on Unlock with fingerprint, and confirm your fingerprint.

How to Setup WhatsApp fingerprint unlock feature on Android smartphone
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and tap on three dots at the top right corner
Step 2: Go to Settings> Account> Privacy> Fingerprint lock
Step 3: Turn on the toggle for fingerprint lock
Step 4: Verify your fingerprint when prompted
Step 5: You can choose the automatic lock time span from — Immediately, After 1 minute, and After 30 minutes
that is it. Now your WhatsApp fingerprint lock is activated.
