Facebook launches tool to let users transfer photos & videos to Google Photos.
Facebook said, today, we’re releasing a tool that will enable users to transfer their Facebook photos and videos directly to other services, starting with Google Photos.
This project is a collaboration between Microsoft, Twitter, Apple, Google, and Facebook. the goal is to make it easier for you to transfer data between their ecosystems.
Here’s how you can transfer Facebook photos & Videos to Google Photos
In a blog post, Facebook said, “The photo transfer tool we’re starting to roll out today is based on code developed through our participation in the open-source Data Transfer Project and will first be available to people in Ireland, with worldwide availability planned for the first half of 2020”.

According to facebook, all data transferred will be encrypted, and people will be asked to enter their password before a transfer is initiated.
As of now, Facebook says the open-source tool to transfer your photos is only available to some users in Ireland but will be introduced to the rest of the world in early 2020.
